More About My Family Child Care: I provide a family atmosphere with a focus on teaching responsibility and respect for self and others. Discipline is prevention-based, with expectations clearly communicated to each child.
During the school year, I offer a structured pre-school program using the "Kapers for Kids" curriculum, which is designed to support preparation for kindergarten for children ages 2-6. The curriculum is supplemented with additional materials based on standards of the Shakopee school district.
Open communication with parents is a high priority for me. I encourage questions and feedback and place an emphasis on keeping parents informed on a regular basis about how their children are doing. The daycare environment is both smoke and pet free.
Other Comments:Teachers do not pay childcare fees during the summer when not in care.
