More About My Family Child Care:I am a former elementary teacher with 12 years of classroom experience. I have a Master's Degree in education, and have also had experience working in an early childhood daycare center as a co-director. I provide care for children of educators, and I follow the Shakopee school calendar. I am open on all days that teachers are required to work, and I am closed in the summer. I provide preschool curriculum for children ages two to five. Children participate in a daily circle time, academic activities, free play, and outdoor play. Daily circle time includes the study of monthly letters, numbers, shapes, colors, themes, music, movement, calendar, and literature. I provide a safe, loving, fun, developmentally appropriate environment for young children. My goal is to offer a setting that nurtures each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
