8:00am – 10:00am  – Active Supervision: What Else is in the Home?Meets the Family Child Care provider annual supervision training requirement. This training curriculum will assist participants in assessing and outlining possible hazards throughout the entire home; acting on and eliminating hazards using suggested resolutions and resources for additional information; learn to identify “hot spots” in the home; and develop a plan for regular review of home environmental hazards.   MNCPD Approved

10:15am – 12:15pm Positive Role Modeling for Challenging Behavior: This class meets DHS Licensing annual training requirements for both Child Development and Behavior Guidance. Based on books by Dr. Sal Severe, we will look at how our moods, behaviors and reactions can both positively and negatively impact our care environments. Together we will look at the benefits of staying positive, being consistent and displaying patience with the children we care for. (KCF II C)   MNCPD Approved

  • Doors open at 7:30am with Registration and optional Fire Extinguisher Checks
  • You can choose to attend one class or both
  • 2 Hours of MNCPD approved training per class!
  • Training Requirements state you complete an Active Supervision class and a Child Growth & Development & Behavior Guidance class annually. Any classes with a KCF Core Competency II.C, covers both topics.
  • Fire Extinguisher checks provided by Central Fire Protection for a fee and will be there until 8:15am
